A teacher in Swedish as a second language for Fjällängsskolan F-6. The position is a permanent employment, 100% with a monthly salary. Start date 2025-08-13

Your new job

Fjällängsskolan is located in lower Torvalla, about 10 minutes from Östersund's center. The school is currently a F-6 school with after-school care. The school has about 300 students and is organized into age-homogeneous classes. We work health-oriented and utilize our fantastic outdoor environment in learning. We are one of Östersund's two primary schools that is also a training school. With us, teacher students studying at MIUN can do their practical training.

We have a strong focus on learning and development for both students and staff. We work with careful follow-up and evaluation to develop the school based on research and proven experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Work as a teacher in Swedish as a second language.
• Plan and conduct lessons in Swedish as a second language.
• Collaborate and develop teaching within the subject together with your subject colleague.
• Collaborate with the work team regarding students and teaching.
• Participate in our systematic quality work regarding analysis work.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher in the subject of Swedish as a second language.
• Good IT skills and experience working with digital tools in teaching is an advantage.
• Swedish language
• Knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in daily work.

Experience

• Experience working as a teacher is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Previous experience working in schools.

You have a good insight into students' different conditions and adapt your teaching according to the group's and individual's needs. You have clarity in your relationships with students, you are a safe and stable adult. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues and drive the development of teaching together with them. You have a good structure and can lay out clear plans for your teaching.
