Description

We are looking for a vocational teacher in transport for Jämtlands Gymnasium Fyrvalla.

The position is a fixed-term employment, 100% starting August 11, 2025.

Your future tasks

You will teach both theoretical and practical courses within the transport specialization of the Vehicle and Transport Program. Teaching will take place in close collaboration with an engaged team that supports you, especially during the introduction of the courses.

The position also includes the role of mentor, where you will follow and support a group of students in their development and schooling.

Who are you?

As a vocational teacher in transport, you will teach students at the upper secondary level with a focus on professional drivers. You will play an important role in preparing students for work in the transport industry, with both theoretical and practical components.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience from the transport industry, preferably as a professional driver or with a similar background.
• Driving license with categories B, C, and CE (requirement).
• Good collaboration skills and a genuine interest in supporting students in their development.
• A strong commitment to quality in teaching and student learning.

Meritorious:

• Education or experience as a vocational teacher, driving instructor, examiner, or other pedagogical experience in the transport field.

What can we offer you?

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to teaching and a desire to develop together with both colleagues and students. You have good professional experience from the transport industry and preferably experience working with wheel loaders, forklifts, or cranes – this is meritorious.

To thrive in the role, you need to be structured, organized, and have good computer skills. You also have a good understanding of how students learn and can adapt your working methods accordingly. Collaboration skills are crucial – you need to be able to build good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and school management.
