Electrical Operations Manager
Fiskarhedens Trävaru AB is one of Sweden's largest and most modern privately-owned sawmills. The sawmill is located a stone's throw from the Vasloppet start in Transtrand, Dalarna. With approximately 160 employees, Fiskarheden is the largest industrial company in Malung-Sälen municipality. Every year, we produce more than 380,000 cubic meters of pine and spruce timber. More than 80% of the production has buyers outside Sweden's borders. Sustainability throughout the production chain is very important to us. JOB DESCRIPTION
About the position:
As an Electrical Operations Manager, you play a key role within our maintenance department. You are responsible for leading and distributing work within the electrical department, ensuring the operational reliability of our electrical installations, and developing and streamlining our operations. In this role, you act as a role model and coordinator both between electricians and between the electrical department and other parts of the business. You also have overall responsibility for electrical safety, quality work, and the development of new work routines.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead and distribute work within the electrical department
- Be responsible for electrical installations and buildings related to electricity
- Coordinate between electricians, operations managers, foremen, and other departments
- Ensure and develop routines for electrical safety and quality
- Participate in and drive improvement work and projects
- Develop and implement strategies for an efficient and safe production facility
- Be responsible for personnel management and skills development within the electrical department
- Ensure that safety routines are followed and that equipment is in good condition
- Maintain and improve the flow of information between departments and shifts
- Stay updated on new technologies and work processes within the industry
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- At least a secondary education in electricity, automation, or equivalent education
- Experience in systematic maintenance work in a production environment
- Good understanding of production processes and automation
- Familiarity with computers and administrative systems, including the Office suite
- Leadership training is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B is required
