The Central Operation is part of the Anesthesia Clinic, providing the residents of Blekinge access to anesthesia and surgical care in Karlskrona and Karlshamn, as well as intensive care in Karlskrona.

About 270 employees of various categories work within the clinic. The secretarial group consists of five members, three located in Karlskrona and two in Karlshamn.

We are now looking for a new colleague for Central Operation who wants to help develop and drive our operations together with us! You are an important part of our work for our operations and for the patients.

As a medical secretary, you will work with experienced secretarial colleagues to ensure a qualitative and professional assignment where your contribution is an important part of the care process. Opportunities for professional development will be available.

As a medical secretary with us, you will have close collaboration with your secretarial colleagues as well as other healthcare personnel.

We have regular joint secretarial meetings, but you will also participate in interdisciplinary meetings such as APT and development work. Organizationally, you belong to Central Operation, and the department manager there is your supervisor.

Examples of common tasks include:

Care documentation in NCS Cross, such as discharge summaries, daily notes, and operation reports. In the fall, we will transition to a new journal system, Cosmic. Training will be provided well in advance of the start.
Handling patient admissions and discharges in various programs.
Quality registers.
Diagnosis registration according to ICD 10.
Telephone contact with patients and healthcare personnel.
Handling mail and test results.
Light reception work.

About You

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration, 80 KY points or 400 YH points, or equivalent education as a medical secretary.

You have good knowledge of both medical terminology and Swedish, both spoken and written. Training in diagnosis coding is an advantage. You have good computer skills and enjoy managing multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as the ability to plan and prioritize in your daily work.

You may have work experience as a medical secretary, but we also welcome those who are new to their professional role.

As a person, you are secure, flexible, and meticulous. You also have a desire to develop and learn new things.

You enjoy working independently and are happy to contribute to a joyful work environment, collaboration, and a good atmosphere. You will receive individual onboarding tailored to your previous experiences.
