Värmland County Care Association
Värmland County Care Association is a municipal association with 16 municipalities in Värmland as members. The association operates HVB activities in several areas and is a player in the overall development work regarding harmful use/dependence in the county. The Addiction Center Värmland is jointly operated with Region Värmland for the target group of adults with harmful use/dependence and in need of detoxification care. Riddarnäset is an integrated operation where we, together with Region Värmland, operate HVB for young people aged 13-20. Flöjten is our acute and investigative home aimed at children aged 0-12 years. The association also organizes courses and conferences in the area of harmful use/dependence and has a joint mission with Region Värmland and the county's municipalities to develop work on harmful use/dependence in Värmland.
Description
Would you like to start working at our new HVB home for adults?
Kvarnbackens HVB, which is set to open in November 2025, is a collaboration between Värmland County Care Association and Region Värmland (Adult Psychiatry).
This means that all staff, including treatment assistants, chefs, work instructors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and doctors, work integratedly. All to ensure that our clients receive the best care, support, and treatment for their difficulties in life.
HVB Kvarnbacken will accommodate up to 14 clients, adults aged 20 and over with harmful use and dependence combined with mental health issues.
The staff group consists of doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, treatment assistants, treatment consultants, work instructors, and custodians.
Kvarnbacken offers a unique opportunity to work with care and treatment in an integrated operation in a fantastic environment. Kvarnbacken is located in Forshaga Municipality, specifically at Mölnbacka Herrgård.
The treatment will cover areas assessed to hinder the client and contribute to as independent a life as possible. There will be access to, in addition to health and medical care, school, internships, various psychoeducational interventions, and treatment programs.
We are convinced that our integrated operation increases the conditions for a cohesive care chain and qualified care and treatment.
We now need to hire treatment staff for our new operation, for a total of 11 permanent positions (day/evening and night). We are also looking for substitutes for shorter or longer periods.
Responsibilities
As treatment staff, you are responsible for the daily practical work with the clients. Together with other staff, you are responsible for implementing the treatment planning. The work includes collaboration with the client's family/network, social services caseworkers, as well as other authorities and other important contacts.
Ongoing documentation of journal notes is included, which means you should be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
The time with clients during their placement at Kvarnbacken has clear goals and purposes, which means you perform structured activities during work shifts with the clients individually or in groups. You are expected to participate in all activities that clients should/can perform, both theoretical and practical in nature.
Qualifications
You preferably have training as a treatment pedagog/assistant, or other training that the employer assesses as equivalent, or experience in the profession.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. We see that you, as a person, easily create contact with clients, are flexible, proactive, and have high stress tolerance as well as very good collaboration skills. The work can be demanding at times, which requires calmness and endurance from you as a person.
Knowledge of harmful use and dependence, psychiatry/neuropsychiatry, and psychosocial treatment methods for people with harmful use and dependence.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
A driver's license is a requirement.
Meritorious:
- Experience working in HVB homes.
- Experience working in an environment where different cultures and approaches meet.
- Training in mapping instruments, primarily ASI, AUDIT/DUDIT.
- Training in treatment programs, primarily MI, CRA, ESL, and ÅP.
Conditions
A valid extract from the police's suspicion and crime register for HVB homes is required.
Working hours are scheduled day/evening/weekend, with some on-call duty included.
Recruitment will take place continuously during the application period. So do not hesitate to submit your application as soon as possible.
