Residential Support Workers for Group Homes in Ölme

The municipality's support services are now looking for two residential support workers for two group homes in Ölme, one for Mariedal and one for Rudsnäs.

About the Group Homes

Mariedal has five apartments and a cabin adjacent to the residence. Most residents at Mariedal have a greater need for care due to age-related reasons.

Rudsnäs has four apartments and two cabins adjacent to the residence. There is also a daily activity program associated with the residence that involves working with animals.

The support, care, and welfare administration in Kristinehamn consists of two operational areas: support services and elderly care. Within support services, we work with individuals who have functional variations. Support services operate seven group homes and one service apartment for individuals with functional variations under LSS. Our group homes are located both centrally and a few miles outside the center.

The core mission of the administration is to provide care, support, and rehabilitation for the elderly, to assist people in living independently, and to provide support and services to individuals with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role as a residential support worker is to work motivationally and supportively with individuals to help them manage their everyday lives as independently as possible. The starting point of your work is the individual's implementation plan with individual goals and sub-goals. Great emphasis is placed on individual development based on the individual's own conditions. Your tasks include social documentation and collaboration with various partners.

The work involves being scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends. Some resource shifts/pool shifts may also be included.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mariedal
In this position, you need to have a nursing assistant education or another education that the employer finds equivalent.

Rudsnäs
In this position, relevant education in care and support, leisure leader education, or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent is required. You also need to have knowledge/experience with individuals with autism, low-arousal approach, and you should be allergy-free as pets are present in the workplace.

We want you to have experience with individuals with functional variations and good knowledge of social documentation and awareness of current legislation. You are stable, creative, and proactive, and you possess good empathetic and pedagogical skills. You also need to have good service and collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach.

As an employee, you are responsible for contributing to a healthy work environment and working towards achieving the organization's goals. You demonstrate your participation by taking on assignments and by participating in work that develops the organization.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
