ABOUT THE POSITION

The work involves being a personal assistant to a man in his 45s with a spinal cord injury.

The job may include everything from personal care, intimate hygiene, transfers, cooking, household chores, assistance with leisure activities, etc. You will help carry out daily tasks together with the individual, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, walking, crafting, etc. You must also be able to adapt to the individual's own pace, which varies from day to day. He enjoys sports, music, literature, board games, etc. There will also be a lot of time spent on the computer.

Your workplace is in the user's home or wherever the user is at any given time.

The working hours are scheduled both during the day and in the evening, Monday-Sunday on a rolling schedule. We would like you to be able to work with short notice if needed, due to illness or similar.

As you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for your specific user, it is important to have a good work ethic where everyone supports each other and can work with short notice if needed, due to illness or similar.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We prefer that you who are applying for the position have a flexible and independent work style and can easily adapt to new situations. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good documentation skills and a professional attitude. You should have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people. Lifting is involved, so you need to be of normal strength.

Other qualities that are good for the job include a good sense of humor, calmness, patience, and being responsible. You should be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important.

It is a great merit if you have experience in personal assistance work.
