Residential Support Workers for Värngatan

We in the support for people with disabilities are now looking for two residential support workers for our group home Värngatan. Here, mostly younger and active individuals of working age reside. Our residents are engaged in the municipality's daily activities outside the home during the day.

The Support, Care, and Nursing Administration in Kristinehamn Municipality consists of two operational areas: support for people with disabilities and elderly care. Within support for people with disabilities, we work with individuals who have functional variations. The support for people with disabilities operates seven group homes and one service apartment for individuals with functional variations under LSS. Our group homes are located both centrally and a few miles outside the center.

The core mission of the administration is to provide care, support, and rehabilitation for the elderly, assist individuals in living an independent life, and provide support and services to people with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Residential support is an assessed assistance and provides support in the individual's home or immediate environment. The support may include help with daily tasks such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and structuring daily life or providing social training. It also includes personal hygiene and care.

Your role as a residential support worker is to work in a motivating and supportive manner with the individual to help them manage their daily life as independently as possible. The starting point for your work is the individual's implementation plan with individual goals and sub-goals. Great emphasis is placed on individual development based on the individual's own conditions. Your tasks include social documentation and collaboration with various partners.

The individual performs tasks as independently as possible with the support of the residential support worker, and the goal is to eventually be able to manage their daily life entirely on their own and live a more independent life. The support is individualized and guided by an implementation plan created together with the individual.

The work involves being scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts, as well as being scheduled on weekends. Some resource shifts/pool shifts may also be included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to have relevant education in care and nursing, leisure leadership training, child and leisure education, or other education containing pedagogy that the employer deems equivalent.

We want you to have experience with individuals with functional variations and good knowledge of social documentation and awareness of current legislation. You possess good empathetic and pedagogical abilities and are perceived as calm and stable. You need to have good service and collaboration skills, as well as a solution-focused and low-arousal approach.

As an employee, you are responsible for contributing to a healthy work environment and working towards achieving the organization's goals. You demonstrate your participation by taking on tasks and participating in work that develops the organization.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
