Job Opening: Teacher in After-School Care

In Trosa municipality, we invest in ensuring that our children and students have the best possible start in life. From the first encounter with preschool, through pre-school class, primary school, and after-school care, our staff do their utmost to ensure that every child and student receives the challenges and support needed to achieve their dreams and goals.

As a teacher in after-school care, you meet children during their leisure time and support their development and learning, which is also linked to their learning in school. The role includes planning, follow-up, and documentation of the work. An important task is to create inspiring and challenging learning environments for students during their time in after-school care. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the content and work to promote each child's development and learning. Your responsibility includes building good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

We place great importance on your ability to collaborate with all colleagues at the school. Educators work closely together throughout the student's entire school day with us. It is important that you contribute your experience, knowledge, and creative abilities in various ways for the development of students and the organization.

You are/have:

  • licensed teacher for after-school care, preferably with subject qualifications in sports or home economics
  • pedagogical awareness and knowledge to interpret and concretize all goals of the curriculum

We want you to use your experiences and competencies to contribute to an exciting, stimulating educational environment where the student is in focus. We expect a professional attitude towards students and parents in various forums. You should actively participate in the development of the school's operations through systematic quality work.

You are a clear and present leader, both inside and outside the classroom. You have a positive attitude and a solution-oriented approach, always with the student's best interests in focus. You treat everyone equally and are consistent and fair in your decisions. By creating a safe foundation, you want to give students the best possible conditions for learning and achieving their knowledge goals.

  • have a good ability to collaborate, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives
  • be secure in yourself, stable, and have good self-awareness
  • be flexible and easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization
  • have a good understanding of how children absorb knowledge and the different conditions for learning
