The principal area of Ärla/Hällberga consists of Ärla School F-6 and Hällberga School F-6, located in the countryside southeast of Eskilstuna. Ärla School has approximately 210 students and 30 staff members. At our school, we start from the students' own interests and needs. We want to offer an environment that provides safe, happy, and curious students where both children and staff thrive. Together with students and parents, we promote students' knowledge development and encourage a lifelong desire to learn. Our educators actively work to ensure that teaching sparks engagement and meets all students' different needs while providing a safe, structured school day. To create security at school, we regularly work with reception and values in our classes. The student health team consists of a school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, special teacher, and special educator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physical education teacher with us, you will teach all students at the school, from grade F-6. Additionally, you will teach a smaller group of students in a special education group. We have a gymnasium at the school, and for those who enjoy outdoor activities, we have great opportunities for physical education lessons in nature. The position also includes one home economics lesson per week for grade 6.

In your role as a teacher, you will adapt your teaching based on the grade level and the students' different knowledge levels and conditions. We also see that you are skilled at building good relationships with students and parents, as mentorship may be part of the role. The role also includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, and you will work according to the current curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a pedagogical degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach physical education. Alternatively, you may be in the process of completing your education. It is highly meritorious if you have experience working as a physical education teacher for the relevant age groups and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22). We also prefer that you have authorization to teach home economics. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms and feel comfortable using digital tools in your work.

As a person, you are attentive, have good collaboration skills, and can see the whole picture of the student's school situation. You find it easy to communicate with both adults and students.
