Thomasgymnasiet is a school for everyone, committed to excellent teaching and sustainable development with modern technology. The school is located at Campus Eldsund in Strängnäs in modern, fresh, and well-equipped facilities. Thomasgymnasiet is a prestigious school that combines tradition with a forward-looking approach and school development. This autumn, we will have approximately 480 students distributed across four college preparatory programs and three vocational programs, as well as introductory programs. Aspen at Thomasgymnasiet is an initiative designed to meet students in need of various forms of support and adjustments. At Aspen, students can take introductory programs or any of our national programs. The support structure at Aspen varies depending on which program the student is enrolled in and the individual needs and circumstances of each student.

We are now looking for a Spanish teacher for a 50% position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach Spanish and possibly another subject. You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in consultation with your teaching colleagues.

Through regular dialogue, you will support, coach, and guide your students in their learning and development. You will also be part of a program working team, serve as a mentor for a group of students, and play an important role in the school's development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is/has:

• licensed upper secondary school teacher in Spanish,
• good computer skills as all students and teachers have computers and use a learning platform as a pedagogical tool,
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is considered an advantage if you are qualified in additional subjects.

As a person, we seek someone who has the will and ability to create good and trusting relationships with your students and understands the importance of the teacher for students' learning. You are clear, creative, and confident in your leadership role, able to adapt your leadership style to different situations, and find it easy to communicate with both adults and youth.

You have a commitment to learning and care about each student reaching their full potential in their knowledge development. Furthermore, you have excellent collaboration skills and appreciate working closely with your colleagues.
