Job Advertisement: Officer in Innovation Management

Do you have an interest in the combination of innovation and data? At Vinnova, you have the chance to influence development, for example through the initiative for advanced digitalization. Here you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of digitalization, with many external and internal contacts. Vinnova is also active in international programs and collaborations.

Role Description

In your role as an officer in the Innovation Management department, you will support research and development, knowledge exchange, and collaboration within data-driven innovation, digital transformation, and digital technology. Your main tasks will be to manage grant projects, engage in dialogue with external project leaders, and follow up on the results of the projects we finance. The work also involves administering our programs and developing Vinnova's initiatives together with other officers and area management. You will be involved in developing policy and factual materials within the digital area. We would like you to promote data-driven work, both in the projects Vinnova supports and in the internal work with analysis and follow-up. An aspect is to promote information exchange and collaboration between national actors in the field of digital governance (authorities). You also need to be open to working in other areas.

Examples of tasks:

  • Work with offers of support for research and innovation projects within AI, data-driven and digital transformation.
  • Arrange and participate in both internal and external meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Administer and follow up on the results of the projects we support.
  • Represent Vinnova nationally and internationally.
  • Stay updated by monitoring the environment and reading reports.

Qualifications

Education

- Academic studies, e.g. computer science or engineering education, within software, data security, or information and communication technology.

Experience

- Several years of relevant work experience in business, the public sector, or academia.

- At least a couple of years of work experience where collaboration with other actors has been a central part of your tasks.

- Experience in independently leading goal- and result-oriented projects.

Knowledge

- Good knowledge in data-driven work, data sharing, and understanding of the challenges and opportunities that access to data presents for the transformation of society and economy.

- Good knowledge regarding collaboration between companies, universities/colleges, and research institutes.

- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

- Relevant doctoral education or experience in research and innovation.

- Experience of collaborations in or with other authorities or research funders.

- Experience of international collaboration in research and innovation.

- Knowledge of the Swedish innovation system and various industries.

Placement

We apply hybrid work, where our employees have the opportunity to combine working from home and in the office. At least half of the working time should be spent at our activity-based office at Mäster Samuelsgatan 56, which is just a few minutes' walk from Stockholm Central Station.

Employment form:

The position is a permanent employment and we apply a six-month probationary period.
