About the role

As a controller, you will have the overall responsibility for leading the financial processes and providing support to project managers and project leaders with in-depth analyses and quality assurance of both internal and external reporting.

Some examples of tasks:

• Responsible for the development of project/program budgets, calculations, forecasts, and operational planning
• Responsible for ongoing follow-up through analysis of financial outcomes and key figures, as well as leading the work with status reporting for programs/projects
• Support programs/projects with applications and follow-up of payments related to financing from external parties
• Responsible for the preparation of investment calculations and financial review of decision-making materials and larger agreements
• Lead business development related to financial and operational management and lead training activities in areas such as forecasting, investment processes, and operational systems
• In close collaboration with risk and internal control, lead process improvements and be responsible for ongoing reporting in the area
• Responsible for accurate project accounting, including activation, inventory, and decommissioning within projects/programs

We see that you are used to leading complex controller work. Furthermore, you work independently and take your own initiatives. You are analytical and have the ability to see the big picture in complex contexts, while also delving into details when necessary.

Additionally, you have good communication skills and can express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You share your knowledge to achieve desired results and create collaboration with people at different levels in organizations. As the link between projects and the finance department, you keep others informed, handle questions directly and openly, and convey your opinion clearly and simply.

Requirements:

• Academic degree in business administration or civil engineering with a focus on business administration or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of asset accounting and the K3 regulations/component accounting of assets
• Extensive experience in qualified controller work and thus good knowledge of business controlling (budget/forecast, planning, follow-up, and analysis) in a complex organization
• Several years of experience in qualified controller work within community building, contracting, or operations with complex investment projects (>50 million SEK/project)
• Leadership experience (team lead, project manager, etc.)
• Very good knowledge of the Office suite with an emphasis on Excel

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience of management group work
• Experience from the public sector, politically governed organization
• Experience and ability to lead development and improvement of processes and conduct training
