Your Responsibilities

Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work according to the curriculum. You are independently responsible for the teaching, but the work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues. All teaching at the resource school takes place together with student assistants and resources, which includes close collaboration regarding the planning of teaching and adaptations for the students.

As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important, and therefore you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and other community contacts regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school care's operations collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the operation, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

Your Workplace

Welcome to us at Slestadsskolan! We are a F-6 school with approximately 360 students and 60 staff located in the Lambohov district of Linköping. Since last autumn, we also have a municipal resource school focused on autism for grades 1-6 with its own after-school care that has 10 students. The school is situated near beautiful surroundings with a large schoolyard and access to Lambohov's activity park. We work with the students' abilities to ensure that each student reaches their full potential.

Slestadsskolan's resource school conducts its activities in smaller groups with high staff density, where there is also the opportunity to practice social interaction. The staff collaborates with various authorities and individuals in the student's/family's vicinity. Teaching is conducted based on each student's conditions and needs, where students are offered all subjects. Students are met by clear, safe, and stable adults. We work closely with the students and start from the needs that arise. The resource school's staff is supported by, among others, the EHT team and has the opportunity for collaboration with the other staff at Slestadsskolan.

Who You Are

Primarily, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications to teach grades 4-6. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher for grades 4-6. It is an advantage if you have qualifications to teach Swedish, Math, English, Social Studies, and Natural Sciences.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documented students' learning during the school year. We welcome candidates with knowledge of autism and anxiety issues. Furthermore, it is highly advantageous if you have worked in special education groups, with students with NPF, or in resource schools.

In your role as a teacher for grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is to ensure that you can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development according to the curriculum (Lgr22). You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher for grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other community contacts that occur in your professional role.
