Who are we?

Navestadsskolan in Norrköping is located in the heart of the world and has a long tradition of teaching in a multicultural environment and preparing students for adult life in a global world. At Navestadsskolan, about 60 dedicated staff members work in various ways to contribute to good school days and education for our approximately 400 students in grades 4 to 9.

We work in grade-based teams and subject teams. The school has support teams that work closely with the teaching teams to strengthen the conditions for all students to develop academically as well as socially.

Navestadsskolan also has one of Norrköping's municipal music classes from grade 4 to grade 9, where music and choir singing are part of the students' school days.

We also have Norrköping's Hearing Path together with Silverdansens preschool and school. This is an initiative where Norrköping Municipality and the County Council of Östergötland collaborate to create good conditions for students with hearing impairments.

Your Responsibilities

The position includes teaching in the regular music education for students in grades 4-6 and in the music profile for grades 4-9. You will collaborate closely with subject colleagues to plan, implement, and develop teaching together. The work around the music profile includes carrying out various projects throughout the year, which may involve some evening work. Each week there is room for subject teams.

You strive to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially, and you influence and stimulate students to reach their goals. You create teaching that meets the requirements of the Education Act, curriculum, subject syllabus, and subject plan.

Furthermore, you are knowledgeable in the subject, guide students, plan and lead teaching, assess and grade knowledge development. You actively participate in the overall development of the school, and documentation of your work is part of the assignment.

Mentorship is not included in the position, but you belong to our grade-based team for grades 4-6 and are involved in the work for the grade together with colleagues.

Who are you?

You have a teaching license with qualifications in music and have experience working with choir singing. You are used to organizing projects and concerts and are passionate about providing our students with high-quality music education.

You believe that everyone can and wants to succeed. You appreciate collaboration and work together with others on both large and small issues while taking responsibility for your own commitments.

Furthermore, you are well acquainted with the school's governing documents. You appreciate development and are open to receiving and sharing experiences and expertise.
