Your Responsibilities
The starting point for you as a teacher in after school care is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher in after school care, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the after school care and school activities collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection in both planned and spontaneous situations. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professions.
This position also involves teaching home economics for students in grade 6.
Your Workplace
Tallbodaskolorna is a F-6 school with approximately 430 students, where students in grades F-3 attend Ekdungeskolan and students in grades 4-6 attend Tallbodaskolan. Tallbodaskolorna has a joint school leadership, administration, and student health, and a total of about 60 employees work at the schools.
The after school care activities are located at Ekdungeskolan with three age-homogeneous departments and a 3-6 track. In after school care, all departments work with a common annual plan with themes, where different skills are trained and developed. In the school's after school care, we consciously work to develop soft skills to create favorable learning environments where students can grow as individuals.

Who You Are
First and foremost, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications in after school care. Secondly, we are looking for someone with a degree or completed education as a teacher in after school care. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in after school care. It is advantageous to have qualifications to teach home economics, as the position involves teaching this subject.
It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in curriculum-based after school care, through internships or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have worked as a teacher in after school care for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience teaching home economics.
In your role as a teacher in after school care, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher in after school care, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that occur in your professional role.
