Region Östergötland is looking for a teacher for the art line at Lunnevads Folk High School

Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are gathered under the Regional Development Committee.

Vreta Education Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Center is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevads Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

Lunnevads offers general courses, as well as special courses in music, dance, and art. Parts of the dance education are held in premises in Linköping. There is also an opportunity to study general courses at Lunnevads branch in Mjölby.

Job Description

The position mainly follows the academic year, but shorter courses may also be included. Teaching and collegial collaboration is based on the school's art line. Teaching in the art line is primarily within the ceramic field.

Participants in the art line are from 20 years and older. Most are young with the ambition to continue to higher education in art or design after Lunnevad, while for others, the time at the school serves as further education or as an opportunity for artistic development. Therefore, the teaching needs to meet the diverse needs and goals of the participants. In addition to subject teaching, teacher team work on the art line includes individual guidance, mentorship, area responsibility, academic year planning, evaluation, study trips, exhibition activities, and shared responsibility for methodological and didactic development.

We place great importance on ensuring that participants in the art line receive both good foundational knowledge and support in developing their own artistic expression. Ceramics needs to be seen both as a craft and with artistic expressions.

About You

You need to have:

• a university education and professional experience in the field
• pedagogical education and/or experience teaching at university or university preparatory education
