The primary school/adapted primary school is part of the Education Administration. The operation includes 21 primary schools and an adapted primary school, with a total of about 4500 students. Five of the primary schools are secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school care.

The adapted primary school unit (grades 1-9) is located at Marieberg School. The school has a focus on subject areas and subjects. There is also after-school care for the school's students in grades 1-6. The vision of the adapted primary school is to be a modern, open, proud, and innovative meeting place for sustainable development in learning, health, and democracy with an eye toward the future. Everyone should feel confidence in their own ability and contribute to ensuring that joy at work, engagement, and hope for the future characterize our operation. Our students are the primary driving force of the operation, as their development stimulates the constant search for the best teaching method for each individual.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and flexible teaching assistant for our adapted primary school. As a teaching assistant, you play an important role in supporting students' development both pedagogically and in their personal care. You work closely with the students and are part of a cross-professional team where collaboration, attentiveness, and respect for each individual's needs are at the center.

Your main tasks:

• Actively participate in the educational work together with teachers and other staff.
• Be a support for students in their learning and contribute to an accessible learning environment.
• Help create structure, security, and motivation in the students' everyday lives.
• Work with care tasks based on each student's individual needs, such as support during meals, hygiene, and other personal assistance.
• Promote students' independence while respecting their integrity.
• Be attentive to students' needs and signals and contribute to creating a positive and trusting relationship.

Personal qualities:

• Experience working in adapted primary schools or with children and youth in need of special support is an advantage.
• Good collaboration skills and a calm, stable personality.
• Flexible and solution-focused in a changing work context.
• Ability to meet students with respect and empathy.
• You are responsible, proactive, and have a professional approach.

As a teaching assistant, you are an important part of creating a meaningful, safe, and developing school environment, where each student receives the right support based on their conditions.
