Community Planning Department

The Community Planning Department is responsible for the municipality's physical planning, future construction, and environmental, health protection, and nature conservation from a broad perspective and consists of five divisions: Planning, Building Permits, Environment, Geodata, and Rescue Services. Here, there are opportunities to create, build, change, experience, and develop.

We are now looking for an engaged and driven project manager who wants to lead our digital development. In this role, you will have a key position where you work closely with the operations to create effective and innovative digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager for digitalization, you will lead and coordinate digital development initiatives in close collaboration with the department's operations and suppliers. You will be responsible for structuring work methods, establishing project and implementation plans, and managing ongoing documentation and follow-up. An important part of the role involves managing and developing strategies, directions, and methods within information supply and digitalization.

You will analyze and evaluate by conducting feasibility studies, market analyses, and procurements ahead of strategic decisions. This means assessing benefits, consequences, and opportunities as well as prioritizing needs. To ensure that the organization stays at the forefront, you are also expected to keep updated on societal trends and technological developments, such as AI, automation, and data analysis. The role also includes documenting minutes, investigations, and meeting notes, as well as holding presentations for the management team and political committees.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to convey a clear vision as well as lead changes with openness and commitment. You have a clear focus on deliveries and results within given economic and time frames. As a good communicator, you can adapt ideas and concepts to different target groups while being analytical and able to switch between details and a holistic perspective. You work agile, are creative, and have a good technical understanding of digital solutions, user-centered development, and operational benefits.

We are looking for someone with an academic degree from a university or college in a field relevant to the assignment. You have documented experience in driving projects and development work within digitalization, operational, and service development. Experience working with suppliers, collaborative projects, and procurements is important, as well as good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU). Since the assignment involves documenting and presenting information, a very good ability to express oneself in both spoken and written Swedish is required.

It is advantageous if you have experience from working within municipalities, regions, or other public organizations, as well as if you have worked with development and change work in large and complex organizations.
