Individual and Family Services

The Individual and Family Services in Mönsterås Municipality consists of four units: Adult and Family Law Unit, Child, Youth, and Foster Care Unit, Treatment and Support Housing Unit, and Assistance Unit. Each unit has a unit manager who leads and distributes the work. The unit manager is also available for support and guidance in everyday tasks.

The Adult Unit is divided into a group that works with financial assistance and a group that addresses substance abuse and domestic violence, along with a family law secretary. Our unit now needs reinforcement, and we need you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social worker, your role includes both administrative and social work. The administrative part consists of investigative work where you map and assess the individual's situation and needs for help and support, as well as make decisions on interventions based on applicable legislation and delegation orders. In the investigative work, we place great importance on good communication, well-founded decisions, and high legal certainty. The social work mainly involves motivating and encouraging the individual's opportunities for self-sufficiency and, if necessary, assisting in contact with other important actors. You will collaborate with the municipality's Employment Unit, the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, the Region, etc.

We can offer you a varied and meaningful job where you can make a difference for individuals. You will be part of a workgroup consisting of four social workers and will closely collaborate with other units in the Individual and Family Services with the entire family in focus.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a social worker or have another education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• You have a good ability to understand people's varying living conditions and meet them with respect and sensitivity.
• You find it easy to motivate people to change and work from a salutogenic approach.
• You are responsible and have the ability to work in a structured and independent manner.
• You express yourself well in speech and writing.
• You are interested in development within the field.
• You find it stimulating to work in a small municipality with close collaboration and decision-making.
