The Social Administration is one of the larger workplaces in the municipality. Within the Social Administration's Individual and Family Care (IFO), there are three units that work with cases concerning children and families: an investigation unit, a placement unit, and a counseling and support unit. We are co-located with other units within IFO.

The Placement Unit consists of eight social workers, five foster care social workers, one senior social worker, and one unit manager. The Placement Unit has access to a unit assistant who serves all units within children and family. The Placement Unit has close collaboration with other units in children and family as well as with the adult unit.

The Placement Unit is a wonderful group of experienced social workers who help each other and, when needed, work together on cases. Well-being and job satisfaction are important for the Placement Unit, as is support from colleagues. We work with freedom under responsibility and can, in several ways, steer our workday based on what works best. We offer close supervision.

We are now looking for a temporary foster care social worker, welcome with your application!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a foster care social worker, you will recruit, investigate, and supervise foster homes. You will also recruit and investigate contact families and contact persons. The work may involve some travel as some of our foster homes are located in other areas. You have a good ability to create trusting and supportive relationships with our foster homes by providing support and guidance in the assignment and in the role of foster home. You are responsible, based on delegation, for contracts and compensation issues, as well as ensuring that established routines are followed. You should continuously collaborate with the child's social worker, other foster care social workers, and the professional network based on the child's needs. We expect you to have an easy time collaborating within the administration, but also with external partners. Together with the group, you are part of developing the operations in accordance with applicable legislation and other governing documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children and families and/or foster homes. You have knowledge of applicable legislation within SoL and LVU. We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of Treserva. It is also an advantage if you have completed any training regarding investigation or supervision of foster homes.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For us, it is important that you are a secure and positive team player who can create sustainable relationships. You have a good ability to handle stressful situations and adapt well to current circumstances. Being flexible and meeting deadlines is no problem for you. Documentation is a recurring aspect, so you need to be able to communicate well in spoken and written Swedish. A valid driver's license (B) is required.
