Nybro Municipality is an expanding municipality in the Småland glass kingdom with approximately 20,000 inhabitants. Here, there are large and small companies primarily in the glass, wood, and paper industries - several of them world-leading in their respective fields.

The Department of Individual and Family Services is responsible for interventions according to SoL and LSS, which include individual and family care and care for people with disabilities. Municipal citizens in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and interventions are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority's exercise. We aim for the interventions we provide to lead to independence.

The operation focuses on interventions for children, youth, and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, people with disabilities who need support in their daily lives, individuals in need of financial support, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.

The support provided by Göljemålagatan is part of the social psychiatry area. The workgroup is based in a location in central Nybro, where all support teams are gathered. The support workers perform interventions for individuals living in ordinary housing.

We work with low-arousal responses, clarifying pedagogy, and a salutogenic approach.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job involves supporting users in their daily lives with personal hygiene, meals, care, escorting, planning, active participation in community life, and social interaction. It includes performing delegated tasks such as medication management and rehabilitative interventions. Documentation is maintained in a digital tool. The support pedagogue role is relatively new within the operation and may develop further. The position is part of the workgroup and includes shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend.

In the role of support pedagogue, you will work supportively and apply a pedagogical approach at the individual, group, and organizational levels to create and develop a learning and engaged work climate. You will have extra responsibility for planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing the pedagogical work. Currently, there is ongoing work to develop communication and structure in daily operations. Other tasks include supporting and coordinating colleagues in establishing and following up on the individual implementation plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a healthcare and social care education or a child and leisure education, as well as relevant post-secondary education such as: support pedagogue education at a vocational college, social pedagogue with a focus on disabilities, teacher's degree, social work education, preschool teacher, or leisure pedagogue.

For new hires, a background check is required.

We seek someone with good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. We use various digital systems, which require good computer skills.
