We are looking for a secure and committed support family that can offer short-term accommodation for a young person, which is done over 8 days per month. The assignment involves providing relief to the individual's family and offering a safe and supportive environment for the youth in question.

About the youth: The youth is interested in football, hockey, and floorball. Floorball is something the youth practices daily with their father. In addition to sports interests, the youth is also interested in computers and video games. The youth has diagnoses of autism and ADHD. The youth struggles with social relationships and communication, which means it can be challenging for the individual when meeting other people.

To communicate, it is required that you as the assignment holder are clear and use repetitions when necessary. In school, the youth has support from a personal educator and a dedicated resource, and functions best when there is an adult present.

It is important to meet the youth with patience and understanding during changes in routines and in social situations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The support family is tasked with providing relief to the family for 8 days per month. Ensure that the youth receives the support and security needed in another home than their own. Help the youth with daily routines, such as waking up and getting ready for school. Provide support and attention as needed, especially regarding emotional barriers and frustrations. Accompany to floorball practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who: Has experience or is interested in working with children/youth with disabilities, preferably autism and ADHD. Is patient, attentive, and has a good ability to create security and structure. Can handle challenging behaviors in a calm and respectful manner. Has the ability to accommodate the youth in your home for 8 days per month. Education in social work is an advantage. Personal suitability according to the needs of the support recipient.
