At our office in Haparanda, there are about 10 employees, and we are located at Storgatan 77. Together, we work towards common goals and can always count on each other's support in our work. Job Description

As an Employment Officer, you will focus on job seekers and employers, and you will be an important support for them, making a difference every day. A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Employment Agency's mission, services, as well as rights and obligations. The job requires curiosity with the ability to make the difficult simple.

Through conversations, you will map competencies, support needs, and suggest concrete measures. This may include guidance, educational initiatives, or development of job search strategies. You will have most contacts with job seekers/employers via phone or digital channels since we work throughout the county, but in some cases, you will meet them physically on-site locally. You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probation period. The location is Haparanda or Kalix; to be considered for the position, you need to live in or be in the process of moving to the area or within commuting distance.

Basic requirements for the position

  • University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • Alternatively, you have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good conditions to meet today's requirements for Employment Officers
  • And at least 2 years of work experience, working at least 50 percent for a total of 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
  • Driving license B

Other merits for the position

  • Experience in providing support and service via phone and digital channels
  • Work experience in interpreting and applying regulations
  • Work experience in guidance and coaching of individuals with health issues/functional variations
  • Good knowledge of our minority languages Finnish/Meänkieli
