At the legal unit, you will gain broad insight into many of society's various legal areas.

We are collectively responsible for preparing and deciding on a large number of public administrative matters. We conduct supervision, control, and licensing in a variety of areas. Furthermore, we prepare and decide on appeals in various legal areas, including the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code. The unit is also responsible for the work that the County Administrative Board has as an electoral authority.

About the job

In your role, you will primarily work with administrative law and legal issues within the framework of our various licensing and supervisory areas. Specifically, this means that you will prepare and decide on a range of different cases. The area of responsibility also includes appeals of municipal decisions. Additionally, you will handle questions and provide legal advice on issues related to transparency and confidentiality. Providing advice and support on legal matters internally, as well as participating in the preparation of consultation responses to the government, are also tasks that may be relevant for you. Travel may occur in the job.

The work is constantly evolving, and based on our mission, the tasks may change over time. Therefore, you need to be able to handle changes. At the same time, it provides you with opportunities to develop and both broaden and deepen your competence with us.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a degree from the law program/jur.kand. or a master's degree in legal science.
  • experience working with legal issues.
  • a driver's license for passenger cars.

Since the job involves a lot of contact both internally and externally on a daily basis, it is important that you express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. As a person, you are meticulous and have the ability to investigate and analyze legal issues. You can switch between tasks and find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships while maintaining high integrity.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience of public authority exercise.
  • experience working with administrative law in court, authority, or municipality.
  • court merits.
  • experience working with the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.

Good to know

The position is a temporary position for about a year.

If you are called for an interview, you may be asked to complete a work sample.

Since some jobs with us require security clearance, you may be required to undergo a security review before employment. This includes a security interview and background check. For certain jobs, Swedish citizenship is required.
