Kriminalvården is Growing – Archive Assistant Wanted

Kriminalvården is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding to our team. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. If we succeed, society will be safer for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The Information Management section is responsible for Kriminalvården's strategic information management. Within the section, there is Kriminalvården's registry and central archive as well as the authority's client journal archive. Additionally, there are information management experts and operational management of systems related to document and case management.

The position is located at Kriminalvården's headquarters, just a few minutes' walk from Norrköping's travel center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an archive assistant for the central and journal archive, you will support the archivists and journal archive staff with practical work involving archive documents. The focus will be on handling archive deliveries as well as sorting, weeding, and boxing documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
• Experience in practical archive work with physical documents.
• Good administrative skills and familiarity with using administrative IT systems.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

• University education in archive and information science.
• Experience in organizing and cataloging according to the National Archives' regulations.
• Experience working with the cataloging system Visual Arkiv or a similar system.
• Experience with Platina or another case management system.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations in the archive area for government authorities.
