Group Manager for Payroll Group at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and expanding our operations, and we are now looking for more employees. The Correctional Service's Service Center (KSC) supports the authority in personnel and economic administrative services, support functions, and the authority's switchboard function. The goal of KSC is to reduce administration for the authority's managers and employees through a mix of centralization and increased support.

We are looking for an engaged and results-oriented group manager for one of our payroll groups within the section for payroll and personnel administration. The section is responsible for personnel administration, payroll management, travel expenses, handling of reimbursements and benefits, and supporting the organization in these areas. You will become part of an energetic and dynamic management team that has a strong desire to drive change and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a group manager, you will lead the operational payroll work within the section in close collaboration with your three other group manager colleagues. You will also be a support for your team, especially during peak workloads and in complex issues, and together with the other group managers, you will work to drive common goals and development within the section.

We see that you will drive development by inspiring, creating conditions for reflection and participation. In your work, you focus on building strong relationships throughout the authority and creating an attractive workplace with a good working environment. You have personnel responsibility for a group of payroll administrators and ensure that the team meets its goals and develops in the right direction. Within the section, there are also five payroll specialists who, together with you, work to drive the development of the authority's personnel administrative processes.

An important part of the assignment is to ensure that tax legislation, collective agreements, and other regulations affecting payroll management and reporting are followed. In addition to ensuring that payroll payments are made correctly, the main task of the group manager is to ensure that employees have the right support and competence to meet the needs of the operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a relationship-building, engaged, and results-oriented group manager for one of our payroll groups within the section for payroll and personnel administration. You will become part of an energetic and dynamic management team that has a desire to drive change and development. To fit into the role, you also need to be stable and have the ability to adapt to changing work demands, as well as being unpretentious and flexible in your actions.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in a relevant field or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Several years of work experience in payroll or HR administration
• Well-regarded experience in labor and personnel management
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

It is advantageous if you have:

• Relevant experience from another public sector
• Experience working within a service center
• Documented leadership training
