Perrongen, Department for Children and Youth Interventions

Perrongen is an intervention that operates on behalf of the authority section within the social services in Uppsala Municipality. Family therapists investigate and recruit contact persons, coordinate and hold regular network meetings, and offer family conversations to guardians. The intervention targets families with youth aged 10 to 20 years.

Perrongen has, until October 2027, EU funding to further enhance quality and explore how to increase school attendance for the youth involved in the intervention. This position is a project employment and will contribute to that work.

Your Mission

As a family therapist, you will work with children and youth aged 10-20 years and their parents. You will maintain close contact with parents and support them in their parenting. Together with a colleague, you will coordinate and lead network meetings where resources related to the youth are included. You will investigate, supervise, and match a contact person to the youth. Guardians will be offered conversations where you guide the process and support the change work.

You will be a key person in a qualified effort with and around youth, where all good forces are given the opportunity to drive change work forward. Coordination and collaboration both within and outside the social services will contribute to the work and give you a broad knowledge of the resources available in the change work for children and youth.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems relevant for the position. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in treatment work with children, youth, and their families. You should also have proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

For this position, the following qualifications are meritorious:

• Systemic theoretical education
• Training in domestic violence
• Training in Signs of Safety.

As a person, you are structured and good at planning and prioritizing your work. You have a good empathetic ability and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Additionally, you have the ability to see opportunities in changes.
