The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS LVM Home Hornö receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept men with mental health issues and men with aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly with cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our clients. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

• A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or an equivalent degree from a university
• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form
