We are now looking for temporary and summer substitutes for the residence Lunda 2, located 10 minutes from Gränbystaden!

The residence named Lunda 2 is located along road 288, on the way out towards Östhammar, about 10 minutes from Gränbystaden. It is situated in a rural area with nature close by. Here, two men with challenging behavior reside, so it is important to be calm, curious, and interested in constantly learning new things. It is a workplace with eventful days.

Your Mission

As a residential assistant, your tasks include meeting the individual’s needs for support and care in everyday life, ensuring a safe environment, motivating and participating in various leisure activities, as well as working in a motivating manner with structure and routines according to implementation plans. You will attend to each individual’s needs to ensure that everyday life is as predictable, safe, and joyful as possible. You are expected to maintain contact with other actors in the client’s network.

In this role, you are also expected to help develop the operations based on the municipality's values, routines, and guidelines, as well as work with, for example, alternative and augmentative communication, language development activities, and low-arousal approaches.

You are expected to work irregular hours scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and awake nights/sleeping on-call. We are looking for temporary and summer substitutes.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with one of the following qualifications or other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.

• High school diploma in healthcare
• Adult education in healthcare
• Nursing education equivalent to assistant nurse competence

It is a requirement that you have previous experience in nursing and experience in caring for people with disabilities. It is also required that you have knowledge of low-arousal approaches.

You also have good oral and written skills in Swedish, experience working with various computer programs, and a B driver's license.

Since you will be providing care to individuals with challenging behavior, it is important that you have a good ability to be adaptable, have patience, and are not easily intimidated. You are also empathetic, flexible, and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You are good at collaborating and remain calm and composed in various situations.
