Summer Substitute as a Personal Assistant for a 21-Year-Old Girl West of Uppsala

I am a cheerful 21-year-old girl living with my parents outside Uppsala. My interests include shopping, swimming, and music. I really enjoy going for walks in all weather and making trips to places that interest me.

There are pets in the family, so you must not be allergic. Due to the nature of the work, only female applicants will be considered. You must have a driver's license and access to a car to commute to and from work.

Job Responsibilities

Since I cannot use my own muscle strength, I need help with all daily tasks. I use wheelchairs, and outdoors, a permobile. I cannot chew or swallow and receive food via a feeding tube directly to my stomach, PEG. I communicate using Bliss and am very skilled at it; in addition, I use a lot of signs.

You will assist me in my home. Working hours are 7 AM to 4 PM or 12 PM to 10 PM on weekdays, and on weekends/holidays 7 AM to 5 PM or 12 PM to 10 PM. I need help with personal hygiene, personal care, bathroom visits, dressing and undressing, transfers with a ceiling lift, food and medication intake, household chores, and training to maintain and improve my functions. I can guarantee that you will have fun at work =)

There are also some manual lifts, so you must be able to handle this.

Qualifications

I am looking for someone who is calm, honest, organized, meticulous, and reliable. You should have a big heart and a lot of patience. You are interested in people and communication. You easily make contact and handle the Swedish language both in writing and verbally. You are punctual and respect my choices. Having worked as a personal assistant or similar is an advantage.

Employment Conditions

Summer substitute, I wish for you to work during the period of June to August. The employment conditions are regulated according to the collective agreement between Fremia and Kommunal. The position is a hourly employment that can transition to a permanent position for the right person. STIL will be your employer, and I will be your supervisor along with my co-supervisor.
