The Role of a Teacher with Us

In this role, you contribute to a culture where we collectively take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. In your daily work, you collaborate and cooperate with students, parents, and colleagues at the Culture School, as well as with other units, activities, and actors in the municipality. The work mainly takes place during children and young people's free time, that is, afternoons and evenings.

Your Profile

You are an engaged and creative educator who meets students' interests with curiosity and enthusiasm and sees play as a natural part of the educational work. You work well in a team, are flexible, and take the initiative to develop the operations. You are also a responsible and effective person who can prioritize and deliver results, as well as adapt to changing circumstances. You meet students' areas of interest and perspectives with interest and curiosity and have a good ability to work with different colleagues with various subject competencies and orientations. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• music pedagogical university education or equivalent with cello as the main subject
• taught at various levels and with children of different ages
• broad genre competence

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working with group teaching, rhythmics, and string play
• experience leading an orchestra

The Culture School in Kungsbacka is a voluntary and fee-based activity, open to all children and young people aged 5-20 in Kungsbacka municipality. We also work with various forms of open activities to broaden participation in the culture school. The Culture School offers children and young people the opportunity to experience creativity in the form of music, dance, art, film, and theater. Currently, there are about 2,000 participating students and around 55 employees in the organization.

The vision of the Culture School is to attract and offer space for all children and young people and provide them with a meaningful leisure time. Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent position at 50% starting August 11 or by agreement.

Before a possible interview, you should present a short lesson plan to the recruiting manager and a few employees in the organization. We do not assess your musical performance, but your approach and how you tackle the task. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
