Påskberg School is a K-9 school with an associated after-school program located in central Varberg, serving approximately 570 students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our after-school program consists of three departments where you will work within your own department as well as across the entire after-school program. During the school day, staff from the various after-school programs have significant responsibilities for recess activities and supporting groups or individual students in class. The position may also involve being a crucial part of providing individual students with the support they need during school hours.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible environment for learning.

As an after-school teacher with us in Varberg Municipality, you play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you provide students with the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the after-school program based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, tailored to the students' needs and circumstances. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach in after-school programs. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the opportunities to support students' development throughout the school day and create a cohesive connection between school and after-school programs.

Knowledge, experience, and willingness to work with a student with type 1 diabetes are needed both during school hours and in after-school.

Knowledge, experience, and willingness to work with students with difficulties within NPF are also required during school hours and in after-school.

Personal suitability is of great importance.

As an after-school teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific principles with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the organization by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals.
