Håstensskolan is a school for grades 6-9. The school is located in Varberg's urban area, close to the municipality's large sports facilities and a newly built youth center. We are a school with about 400 students.

The school works with a high level of trust in its teaching staff and with a student perspective where everyone contributes to the best conditions for learning. Collegiality with a constructive focus is a prerequisite for fitting into our teaching staff.

Students at Håstensskolan should be given knowledge development based on their different conditions and possess competence, joy, and faith in the future. All students should feel that they succeed at Håstensskolan and have a positive knowledge development.

Students at Håstensskolan will be met by educators who collaboratively work scientifically based on research about students' learning to develop teaching through, among other things, variation theory research and methods.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching in grades 6-9 primarily in French but also in combination with another subject. Associated tasks for teachers such as mentorship, team work, and subject group work.

Tasks as a teacher at Håstensskolan involve conducting work that places the student's learning at the center. We want to see that you are an engaged teacher who can inspire and motivate students in their knowledge development. You should start from the students' perspective when you, together with other staff and management, organize, drive, and develop the school.

Your approach to the assignment should be solution-oriented, and you should have the student in focus. As a teacher with us, you are part of creating a school where all students have the opportunity to achieve the goals and where learning is experienced as meaningful, stimulating, enjoyable, and safe.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher with us at Varberg Municipality, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students. By planning, implementing, and following up your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both academically and socially.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on teaching based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions, and resting on science and proven experience. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must be a licensed teacher in French for the later years of primary school. It is advantageous if you also have a license for another subject.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have a good ability to individualize and vary teaching to create a desire for learning. You are attentive and have good collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.

As a teacher, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific foundations with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we have a responsibility to create a sustainable working environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
