Göthriks School

Göthriks School is a F-6 school with an associated after-school program. The school has just over 180 students and is located in Hunnestad, ten kilometers east of central Varberg, a stone's throw from the World Heritage site Grimeton Radio Station.

The after-school program is age-integrated and has about 100 enrolled students. We focus a lot on outdoor activities. Movement and experience-based pedagogy are at the center, with dance as a recurring element.

Göthriks School is a school with good results and a high level of ambition among both staff and students. The school has a large proportion of qualified teachers and dedicated staff. In daily work, teachers focus on clarity and structure in teaching and communicate/inform via digital platforms.

All students are offered an equivalent education of good quality in a stimulating and safe environment. Some of our areas for development include systematically analyzing and developing teaching as well as increasing students' motivation for learning and self-awareness, contributing to each student's best conditions for learning more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a team with competent colleagues where collaboration around the students permeates the work. In addition to working in the after-school program, you will also work as a resource, supporting students in class, in groups, or individually under the guidance of the teaching teacher.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest drive. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in the after-school program with us in Varberg municipality, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for the students. By planning, implementing, and following up your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up the after-school program based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher in the after-school program. Experience and knowledge in NPF is an advantage.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounds with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by jointly planning and following up on teaching. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.
