You will work closely with politics and municipal management, translating the political strategy into operations, and participate in forums such as our business council. You will have regular contact with the media on various issues and lead, organize, and structure forums and working groups within the group.

You will have the opportunity to influence our business climate and business ranking. You will represent the municipality in business matters, both locally and regionally. You will attract new companies and investments. Kristianstad Municipality is in the process of developing a business program, where the role of business manager will be key in the implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the business manager, you play a key role in the municipal group's work with business and communication issues. Your mission includes promoting strategic growth and development for the entire municipality, and you are the link between the municipal group and the business community, working with our common goals.

You are the head of the business department with personnel and work environment responsibility and two unit managers reporting to you. The department includes the operations of the citizen center, business, tourism, communication, and events. In your role, you will also drive and develop the municipality's strategic communication work. The department focuses on external relations, but with a clear connection to the entire group's work. The department works broadly and has many contact points, which gives you as department head the opportunity to create added value every day.

You will be part of the management team at the municipal management office and work together with other managers and key persons to promote the development of the municipality and the group.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate others as well as set goals and direction for the operations. You have the ability to delegate tasks and provide advice, support, and opportunities for your employees' development. You create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, and collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You are a skilled communicator, both in speech and writing, and have the ability to adapt your message to the target audience.

You work strategically to realize the organization's goals and have an easy time identifying and developing positive and cross-border visions and plans. You deliver results with high quality and productivity by working systematically, methodically, and reliably. You focus on customer needs and achieve good customer satisfaction.

As a leader, you create conditions for your own area of responsibility by understanding the relationship between the whole and the parts, which requires an analytical ability to understand the consequences of different courses of action. You think long-term and always represent Kristianstad Municipality.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate others as well as set goals and direction for the operations. You create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, and collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions.

To succeed in the role, you need to have an academic degree, at least at the bachelor's level, in a relevant field for the position. You have experience working at a strategic level with complex issues and translating goals and visions into action. You have several years of managerial experience and experience working with business issues. You hold a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have been a manager of other managers and have experience working with strategic communication issues. Experience in the public sector and the ability to manage a politically governed organization is also advantageous.

As a person, you are strategic, driven, and a skilled network builder, which gives you the tools to create positive development. You thrive in larger contexts and can handle many different processes simultaneously. The role involves many contacts both externally and internally, and you lead your operations forward with a focus on creating positive collaborations.

You have a good understanding of complex relationships and can empathize with both the business community's and the group's perspectives. This allows you to lead the operations with the goal of creating understanding and cooperation between different actors. Your holistic view enables you to draw well-founded conclusions for the best of Kristianstad, and you have both creativity and courage to drive change. You are an experienced leader with a solution-oriented approach and a clear desire to develop and improve.
