Make a difference. Every day.

Working side by side with healthcare in Region Skåne is a significant and challenging mission. As a service provider, Regionservice operates in a complex environment where the importance of the right flows, functioning logistics, and optimal building planning affects how well healthcare succeeds in its mission to provide patients with good and safe care. Here, Regionservice is an important resource.

Part of Regionservice's work involves managing all deliveries to and from our hospitals and other facilities. The future of delivery is coordinated, and coordinated delivery includes service hosts, cleaning staff, and building hosts within transport. Exciting developments are happening in the hospital area in Malmö. We have recently moved into our new service building and introduced self-driving trucks, so-called AGVs, to improve logistics. One of the two new hospital buildings has already opened, and we are now facing the exciting challenge of opening the second and final newly built hospital building. To lead this new unit, we are now looking for a committed and experienced unit manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a confident leader, experienced in customer dialogue, and want to be part of our ongoing development journey? We are in a phase of new constructions and changes within the hospital area that affect us, and we are therefore actively working with change management and implementation.

As a unit manager, you are responsible for budget, personnel, and operations as well as the coordinated delivery in your unit. The unit will consist of approximately 30-40 employees, and you will have a team leader to assist you. Some employees will need to be recruited, but most are already in place today. You lead, allocate, and follow up on the unit's work, and in close collaboration with your team leader, you do what is best for the unit based on quality and efficiency. Initially, you will also focus on building the unit. In addition to managing daily operations, you will have a strong focus on developing work processes and creating uniform working methods that are well anchored within the unit. As a leader, an important task is to pave the way for employees to become active in that work. Of course, you are also expected to work proactively and focus on daily improvement work.

Other tasks and responsibilities include:

  • planning staffing of personnel in daily operations; during illness and similar situations, you have your team leader to assist in this work
  • staff development and effective resource allocation
  • customer responsibility, which includes customer dialogue and follow-up on delivery and customer satisfaction
  • financial follow-up

You report to the area manager and are part of the management group for Area Malmö along with other unit managers. Together with your colleagues, you are expected to actively participate and contribute to the ongoing development work in the area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education, preferably some post-secondary/higher education, as well as work experience in the field we consider relevant for the position. Leadership training is a plus. It is strongly meritorious if you have experience as a manager responsible for budget, operations, and employees. If you also have experience in starting up a new unit and building the team, that is an advantage. In previous roles, you have experience leading successful improvement and development work. As a unit manager, you are responsible for delivery to the customer, so you also have experience in customer dialogue with responsibility for follow-up on delivery and customer satisfaction.

We are on a digital development journey, so you must be comfortable with and have experience working in various systems. You have good knowledge of the Office package and see the computer as a natural working tool in your daily life. Good Swedish in spoken and written form is a requirement for the position.

You are driven to work purposefully and are motivated by meeting the deadlines set. You thrive in a role that allows you to work closely with your operations but also have the ability to see the purpose of the work from a broader perspective. For success in the role, you have a coaching leadership style and are happy to share your knowledge with your colleagues. Other qualities we value include being unpretentious, communicative, and having the ability to build and maintain good relationships with our customers and other partners.
