About us

We are an organization driving the green transition together with our customers. We work to secure energy supply in the municipality of Kristianstad, and due to upcoming retirements, we are now looking for an engaged environmental engineer who wants to join us on our journey of change.

About the position

As an environmental engineer with us, you will be a central and driving force in our environmental work. You will act as our internal expert on environmental issues and ensure that we comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and permits. The position of environmental engineer encompasses the entire C4 Energy Group, with a particular focus on the regulated activities of district heating/cooling and biogas.

Your tasks will include leading the work with permit processes, supervision, reporting, and management of the ISO 14001 management system. You will work with operational follow-up, goals and environmental aspects, investigations, and everyday change work. Additionally, you will act as a driver and resource for the organization’s ongoing environmental work. You will also have contact with environmental auditors, authorities, contractors, and consultants on environmental-related issues.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with broad experience in environmental work and environmental legislation, as well as familiarity with management systems. You also have experience with authority contacts. Experience with the European emissions trading system is an advantage. We prefer that you have a university degree in environmental science or a similar equivalent education/experience. You will be responsible for environmental permits and issues related to air, water, soil, and waste, ensuring that we comply with current and future environmental legislation. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to work independently, meticulously, and analytically, as well as have a solution-focused attitude and strong collaboration skills.
