We are now looking for a forward-thinking biomedical analyst who wants to help drive the development of vascular diagnostics with ultrasound together with our team.

The Vascular Center at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) Malmö is part of the thoracic/vascular area, which has approximately 450 employees. Our team, consisting of vascular surgeons, radiologists, and angiologists, treats all types of vascular diseases. In order to provide our patients with the best possible care with short lead times and the highest medical quality, we are keen to choose an individualized diagnostic modality. Here, ultrasound plays an essential role, among other things because it shows hemodynamics in real-time.

What distinguishes our operation in Malmö is that we have our own independent vascular laboratory, which enables us to ensure quick care for our patients to minimize waiting times and offer immediate vascular surgical assessment and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This central role in the ultrasound lab suits you if you are looking for a stimulating job where you can work independently.

Your responsibilities include booking your own patients as well as performing ultrasound diagnostics both pre- and post-operatively. The ultrasound diagnostics performed include measuring aortic diameter, stenosis diagnostics of pelvic and leg arteries, as well as venous ultrasound (deep vein thrombosis, vein mapping prior to bypass surgery), follow-up after peripheral bypass surgery, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. You will follow the patient throughout the treatment and during follow-up, which provides good continuity and facilitates the examination process.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed biomedical analyst with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare and have at least five years of experience in ultrasound diagnostics of the body's vessels. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are also a requirement.

Since urgent examinations (daytime) are included, it is essential that you have a good ability to adapt when needed and prioritize what is most important at the moment.
