Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.
The work within our operational areas differs slightly. Below you can read briefly about what the work in the different operations entails.
Elderly Care, Ordinary Housing: To enable individuals to stay at home and feel safe and well, we offer home care. Your role is to support the care recipient in living as independently as possible. The job is free and varied with great responsibility. Here you have the opportunity to be outdoors and move around in our fantastic summer environment.
Elderly Care, Special Housing: In our facilities, you assist the elderly with more extensive care and support needs. This may involve physical disabilities due to age or illness. Together with supportive colleagues, you work to create wonderful days and a warm, safe, and joyful environment for those living here.
Disability and Social Psychiatry: The department is responsible for LSS housing, daily activities, housing support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. With great commitment, we work with the individual's needs at the center and based on a belief in the individual's own abilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
By working as a substitute with us, you gain invaluable experience and train your social skills that are useful in all types of jobs in the future! At work, you will meet people with various disabilities or meet the elderly in elderly care where you are part of their everyday life.

Tasks you may perform include:
- Cleaning
- Personal hygiene and care
- Preparing breakfast, serving lunch and snacks
- Social interaction, e.g., going for walks, organizing activities, and in some cases, walking pets
- Accompanying to the hairdresser and health center
- Assisting with medications
Support is needed around the clock. This means you can work days and evenings, weekdays as well as weekends.
There is an opportunity for a summer schedule during the period of weeks 23-35.
QUALIFICATIONS
We place great emphasis on your personal suitability and prefer that you are attentive, cooperative, and social. You want to help people live their best lives and treat those around you with respect.
Requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years old to perform the tasks according to the requirements of the Work Environment Authority.
- Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written (approved in basic Swedish for compulsory school grade 9 or SFI D).
Meritorious:
- Education in nursing or pedagogical training.
- Experience in similar work.
To work in home care, you need to be able to cycle, and some of our positions require a driver's license.
