JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Lundenskolan, approximately 650 fantastic students attend from preschool class to grade 9, along with seven groups in the adapted primary school. Our school is centrally located with good public transport connections and close to the city's rich cultural offerings. The schoolyard invites play and movement, and adjacent to the school, there are forests and nature suitable for outdoor education.

We are now looking for a new colleague to teach home and consumer studies. You will teach both in the primary school and the adapted primary school. In the adapted primary school, students either follow the curriculum for home and consumer studies or the curriculum for everyday activities. If you are also qualified in another subject, it may constitute a minor part of the position.

As a teacher at Lundenskolan, you will be part of a working team that meets weekly to collaborate on issues concerning both students and pedagogical and practical matters. You will meet colleagues at subject conferences every month. Regarding home and consumer studies, there is another teacher at the school. The school has focus areas for our joint professional development during the school year. In the 24/25 school year, the professional development is focused on values, safety, and study peace. The working method is collegial learning where we explore, discuss, try, and evaluate in a non-prestigious manner together to develop methods that benefit our students' learning and development. Teachers in the adapted primary school are also part of networks with other teachers in the city's adapted primary schools. In the networks that meet on study days, professional development is provided in relevant areas and opportunities for experience exchange.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a qualified teacher in home and consumer studies, grades 6-9.

The position includes responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching as well as mentorship. In the role of teacher with us, we are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and their teaching role, has good collaboration skills, and a desire to achieve the school's national goals as well as a good ability to meet all our different students. We also see that you promote a respectful working climate and create good relationships with both colleagues and children and parents. With us, there is continuous development of the operation, so we welcome you to contribute new ideas and perspectives in work-related matters and challenge methods, practices, and ways of thinking. Finally, you have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions.
