The Social Administration in Järfälla is responsible for elderly care, disability services, and individual and family care (IFO). Within IFO, the area of Support and Treatment is responsible for all outpatient care through preventive, open, and assessed assistance measures. The Youth Support Unit, which is part of the Support and Treatment area, offers qualified outpatient care for youth aged 12–23 and their families, both through Social Services and direct contact. The unit has 12 employees, two team leaders, and one unit manager, encompassing the Youth Team, Youth Housing, and Youth Reception. We are now looking for you to become our new colleague in the youth team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will meet youth and parents where there is a need for change work to reduce concerns about negative development or break a destructive behavior pattern to create better conditions for an independent life.

Based on the assignments we receive, we design interventions according to the individual needs that exist, to best build alliances and enable change. In Mini-Maria's mission, we conduct substance use assessments, motivational interventions, and addiction treatments together with the youth and their parents. For youth with other norm-breaking behaviors, we work to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors for criminal identity development, often in close collaboration with IFO authorities, police, and schools.

We work with various evidence-based methods based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines, such as Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and various methods for structured CBT treatment. Our approach is strongly influenced by MI, and we use Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) to ensure that the interventions we offer make a difference for those we meet.

In addition, we work with information for parents and school staff through lectures, training, and workshops. We collaborate with other actors who work with the same age group, such as field operations and student health teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has another behavioral science degree deemed equivalent by the employer. You have worked therapeutically with youth exhibiting norm-breaking behavior such as crime and/or substance abuse and enjoy working with this target group. You also have experience working with family therapy. We prefer that you have worked with methods that address the needs of youth with complex issues such as substance abuse, crime, and mental health problems in various combinations.

You find it enjoyable and developing to think together about operational issues and method development.

You should be able to actively work to utilize the resources available to the individual and their network, which requires a good ability to build relationships and a liking for challenges. You need to be flexible and solution-focused to meet the needs for individual solutions required in our assignments.

You should have a good ability to work in teams both around operational issues and within specific cases, but also be independently driven and take significant responsibility for your cases, which requires organizational skills. You should be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued.

It is advantageous if you have training in FFT or other family therapy training with a systems theory basis, CPU, CRA/A-CRA, CBT, MI, FIT, RePulse, ÅP.
