The mission of the Child and Student Health

The mission of the Child and Student Health is to support the development of children and students towards the goals of education through health-promoting and preventive measures. In the individually targeted work, the Child and Student Health has a special responsibility to remove obstacles to each individual's learning and development. The Child and Student Health is tasked with promoting improved collaboration with other organizations that work with children and youth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a school counselor or an experienced social worker?

As a school counselor, you will support and talk with students based on their school social situation. The work also includes guiding and supporting school staff. You work health-promoting and preventive at the individual, group, and organizational level. As a school counselor, you will be part of the school's student health team. The team collaborates with the school's educators and other staff to promote students' health and learning. Collaboration also takes place with other agencies such as social services, habilitation, and child and adolescent psychiatry.

You will be part of the Child and Student Health's school counselor group, which meets regularly and also has joint supervision and professional development. You will be physically placed at a primary school and organizationally belong to the Child and Student Health. It is important that you have access to your own car.

You want to work part-time as the position is 80 percent.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained social worker or have an equivalent higher education. You have your own drive and can work independently as well as in a group. You focus on the student and easily see opportunities. As a person, you are secure, flexible, positive, and have good collaboration skills.

You have experience working as a school counselor and knowledge and experience of children in need of special support, or you are an experienced social worker who is curious about social work in schools.
