Section's/Unit's Mission

The Digital Services department is part of the agency's IT organization, and we are responsible for the Swedish Public Employment Service's customer interactions in our digital channels. In the Digital Matching unit, we build digital services that are used for job seekers and employers to find each other. You will be part of a team that builds digital services related to employment support, helping those furthest from the job market. The team consists of web developers, UX designers, product owners, scrum masters, testers, and more.

Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced backend developer in .NET who has worked in the role for a few years. As a senior backend developer, you have the ability to lead technical decision-making and guide junior developers. You have strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills towards both technical and non-technical team members. You are responsible for ensuring that our solutions maintain good quality, are cohesive, and follow the architectural guidelines in place. In addition to being analytical, you need to be good at communicating your message in a pedagogical and engaging way.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • At least five years of documented experience in backend development in .NET and C# in complex development environments with many system integrations, as well as experience working in agile development teams
  • At least three years of documented experience working with RedHat Openshift
  • At least two years of documented experience with Kibana
  • Good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish

Other Qualifications for the Position

  • Overall architectural knowledge and the ability to lead technical decisions and communicate them within the team, as well as the ability to communicate with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Experience with SOAP/REST
  • Frontend development in Angular, React, or similar frameworks
  • Backend development in Java
  • Web development in a government agency or other politically governed organization
