Role Summary

The Fuel System Control Software group, responsible for the functionality of our fuel injection systems, is looking for an organized and proactive Scrum Master to join the team. Our work includes control and diagnostics of the fuel system in Traton’s powertrains and engine projects.

If the Scrum Master role does not require full-time focus, there is an opportunity to contribute to other areas within the group, such as data analytics, calibration, or programming. This offers a great chance to broaden your expertise and develop new technical skills.

Additionally, you will be part of an organization that actively contributes to environmental sustainability by improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions. Your work will have a tangible impact on making transportation more eco-friendly.

Job Responsibilities

As a Scrum Master, you will be a key driver of structure and efficiency, ensuring smooth deliveries and keeping the team aligned with our roadmap. You will facilitate collaboration, foster a motivated work environment, and ensure clear communication across multiple stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning, structuring, and breaking down roadmaps into clear, actionable steps.
  • Ensuring the team remains organized, focused, and aligned with priorities.
  • Acting as the primary point of coordination between the team and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and removing obstacles to enable efficient team operations.
  • Strengthening communication within the team and across departments.
  • Adapting your communication style to work effectively with different personalities and perspectives.
  • Leading efforts to improve ways of working and enhance team processes.
  • Managing project deliveries internally and with external customers.

We work primarily with C programming, so familiarity with software development processes will be beneficial.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A strong ability to plan, organize, and break down complex tasks into manageable steps.
  • An outgoing and proactive personality with a natural ability to bring people together.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—able to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A structured mindset with a problem-solving attitude and a focus on efficiency.
  • A passion for continuous improvement in both team processes and project execution.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (Swedish proficiency or willingness to learn is a plus).

Experience in project planning, software testing, or team leadership is a plus but not required. Most importantly, we seek someone who is driven, communicative, and eager to take initiative.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds – your unique experience and perspectives is valuable to us.

This Is Us

The Fuel System Control Software group is part of Traton’s powertrain development organization, working at the forefront of fuel injection system technology. Our team consists of skilled engineers who collaborate closely to develop, refine, and optimize control strategies for efficient and reliable fuel system performance.

This is where you can make a real difference for the environment. By increasing fueling accuracy, we reduce fuel consumption. Even a 1% reduction in fuel consumption translates to a significant decrease in greenhouse gases when multiplied across hundreds of thousands of trucks in the fleet. Our work plays a crucial role in building a more sustainable future by improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions.

We value teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning, fostering an environment where knowledge sharing and professional growth are key. As a Scrum Master in our group, you will play a vital role in fostering a high-performing, agile team culture while contributing to the development of cutting-edge powertrain solutions.

We Offer

We offer a dynamic, flexible workplace with hybrid work options, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, Scania supports your career growth both locally and internationally.

Benefits include training at our health center Gröndal or wellness allowance, result bonus, flexible hours, and company car leasing. Scania also hosts events for employees and their families, and Stockholm residents enjoy direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses.

Application

Your application should include a CV and any relevant certificates. We welcome all applicants and strive for diversity in our recruitment processes.

Apply as soon as possible, no later than 2025-04-02. Screening will take place on an ongoing basis during the application period. Logical and personality tests may be used as part of the selection process, and a background check may be required for this role.
