The Dietitian Service is organized within public primary care. We are 43 employees working in public health care units, specialized palliative care, and a children and youth clinic. This means a large group of dietitian colleagues of varying ages and backgrounds with extensive expertise in multiple diagnoses and conditions, as well as in preventive work. We have a close collaboration, so access to colleagues' combined expertise is a fantastic opportunity and support.

I work with everyone from small children to the elderly with various diagnoses, so you learn a lot. We also have several educational opportunities; our manager is very open to us pursuing further education if we see a need or want to deepen our knowledge in something. RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome you as a licensed dietitian to the Dietitian Service in Hässleholm.

In the role of dietitian, you will work with diet and nutrition, both in prevention and treatment, across varying ages, conditions, and diagnoses. You will work with patients both individually and in groups. Additionally, you will provide support and continuing education in the nutrition area to other healthcare staff by working in our Helpdesk, Dietist Direct, for primary care staff in Region Skåne and developing informational materials.

- I appreciate the freedom to organize my workdays and to have an impact, says Hanna, a licensed dietitian. I have the opportunity to run different groups, such as for overweight or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), or conduct individual consultations. Moreover, the management and my colleagues are gold! Even though I am alone in my role at the health center, I have a large network of other dietitian colleagues, and there are always competent colleagues just a call or email away.

An important collaboration is the local work at the workplace and cooperation with other professions. Being part of the workgroup and sharing others’ expertise while spreading your own professional group’s knowledge is essential. Additionally, we also work with dietitian-led clinics for follow-up after obesity surgery. Furthermore, dietary and nutritional treatment via digital technology is another area of development, and we are also exploring opportunities to work from home to some extent.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction at the workplace, shadowing with a dietitian colleague, and be assigned a mentor.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is a requirement.

You enjoy taking responsibility and making your own decisions. We also see that you have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances and that you can vary independent work with teamwork. Other valuable qualities are that you are positive, structured, creative, and proactive. Additionally, you have an excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing tailored to the target audience. Since we are keen to find the right person for the position, we place great importance on personal suitability.
