Adult Education Teacher in Healthcare

The Labor Market Administration is responsible for the municipality's activities in adult education, labor market, and integration. Approximately 150 employees work within the administration, serving around 1,200 participants in labor market programs and projects, as well as about 3,000 students in the overall adult education. Läroviken is Sandviken Municipality's unit for adult education, responsible for Swedish language education for immigrants, Lärvux, basic education, upper secondary education, vocational training, and post-secondary education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach healthcare courses and work with both the practical and theoretical parts of the education. You will be part of an engaged subject team with high competence and experience in the field. You will meet students from many different cultures and life phases.

The work involves planning, teaching, follow-up, assessment, and grading. We expect you to be pedagogically skilled and able to adapt and individualize teaching according to students' different needs. Adult education works individually tailored, and teaching is conducted in various ways. You should be prepared for changes in the organization, and flexibility is of great importance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed upper secondary teacher for courses in healthcare.
• Background as a nurse or alternatively as a nursing assistant.
• Experience working with APL issues.

You are structured and work independently. You also need to have good computer skills, as work with digital tools and learning platforms is part of the job. We use the digital learning portal Itslearning.

As an applicant, you should have a strong commitment and interest in people undergoing change and with varying conditions. You believe that people can and want to develop and have the ability to motivate them in their development. You are curious to explore and try different methods to meet students where they are.
