About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a childcare worker, your mission is to ensure that every child is offered safe care, development, and learning.

This means that you are active in the team's planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation, and development of the operations. Together, you ensure the best interests of the child and meet all children based on their experiences and conditions. You are also involved in creating accessible and stimulating learning environments where children's influence is in focus.

The position involves working as a childcare worker within the Dolphin's emergency service. As a childcare worker in emergency service, the following tasks are included:

Educational work and care for children aged 1-12 years during emergency hours, which includes working evenings, nights, and weekends.
Awake on-call duty around the clock.
Heating and preparing food during evenings and weekends.
Putting children to bed at night.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone with a high school or adult education in the child and leisure program or other education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. We would also like you to have experience working in emergency services for children aged 1-12 years and in preschool. It is considered an advantage if you have some form of training in leisure activities for children aged 7-12 years. You need to have knowledge of the preschool curriculum and other relevant governing documents to follow the norms and values set by the preschool curriculum.

You have a good pedagogical ability and understanding of how children absorb knowledge. You are eager to take your own initiatives to start activities in the operations and contribute to its development. Your approach is positive, and you communicate and collaborate easily with children, guardians, and colleagues. To perform the assignment well, you need to be self-driven and able to structure your tasks. It is important that you are solution-focused and contribute to the development of the emergency service. A prerequisite in the role is that you see the age span of 1-12 years as a developing challenge and that you see awake on-call duty as a natural part of your assignment.

As a person, you are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances when needed. You enjoy working in a team and find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships. You have basic digital competence and can use various digital systems. To perform the assignment well, you need good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Lund Municipality's emergency service for children aged 1-12 years is located at Dolphin Preschool in Norra Fäladen, Lund. The emergency service has been operating for many years with knowledgeable staff who have extensive experience in this form of operation. The emergency service is situated in a student area with proximity to public transport, grocery stores, and large green areas.

The emergency service places great emphasis on language, preschool environmental work, learning environments, and being a "present educator".
