Job Advertisement: Investigator to the Staff
The staff's task is to support the Director General in their governance and management of the authority.
The assignment is broad and overarching. The work is characterized by fast-paced current issues as well as long-term assignments. The staff coordinates the authority's dialogues with the Government Offices and certain other external contacts at an overarching level. This includes preparing materials for meetings as well as representing the authority. The staff's tasks also include internal coordination regarding, for example, presentations for the Director General, the authority's referral handling, and monitoring of operations.
As a staff member, you will work both strategically and operationally. The position requires a high degree of collaboration both within and outside the authority. The tasks include, for example:
- coordinating contacts at the management level with authorities and other actors
- coordinating the follow-up of operations
- investigating, analyzing, and preparing materials on various types of strategic issues
- preparing the Director General's participation in external contexts, which includes contacts with external stakeholders and coordination within the authority
- developing working methods and routines
- responding to incoming correspondence
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree in social sciences or another subject area that IVO considers relevant
- several years of experience from qualified work at an overarching level with investigative and coordinating character
- very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
- good and current knowledge of overarching issues concerning public administration.
In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and abilities. To succeed in the role of investigator in the staff, you have a strong drive, are self-sufficient, and good at building relationships. As a person, you are development- and results-oriented, quality-conscious, and have the ability to see connections. You are used to following up on details and the whole. The tasks are varied, and you will work on several issues simultaneously. This places high demands on your ability to independently prioritize and structure your work, as well as having a flexible approach and being able to adapt to changed conditions. The content also varies, which requires you to quickly familiarize yourself with different issues and be accustomed to monitoring the external environment.
Since the work involves many external and internal contacts, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, are attentive, and communicative. You have a very good stylistic ability, easily capture the essential, and are skilled and experienced in formulating messages. Furthermore, you should be able to represent IVO with integrity.
We consider it an advantage if you also have:
- current experience of similar work at the Government Offices, another government authority, or a politically governed organization.
We offer
We offer a meaningful job in an exciting knowledge organization. Together with your colleagues, you will work in a dynamic and stimulating environment focusing on the authority's important mission. In this exciting role, you can feel involved, take initiative, and drive issues. You will have the opportunity to contribute with knowledge and learning, take significant personal responsibility, and develop.
The employment is permanent with a six-month probationary period, and the start date will be agreed upon. The position is full-time with placement in Stockholm.
Apply by April 6, 2025.
Your application should indicate how you meet the requirements. Attach a cover letter and CV.
Transcripts and other documents will be brought to a possible interview.
