Case Officer for Serving and Tobacco Permits

Your Tasks

As a case officer in the permit unit, your main tasks will consist of processing and investigating cases regarding permits for the serving of alcoholic beverages and permits for the sale of tobacco products.

You will also plan and conduct inspections according to the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco Act, and similar products, as well as the law on tobacco-free nicotine products. A large part of the investigation in our examination and inspection cases involves financial review. Working hours are primarily during the day, but weekend, evening, and night shifts occur regularly in connection with inspections. The permit unit currently consists of six employees.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in economics or law, and who has previous experience in public authority work. In this position, you will largely work with processing and investigation that takes place in various data systems, so we want you to have good computer skills. A B driver's license is also required for this position. It is important that you are meticulous, structured, and have the ability to prioritize and plan among several important tasks. Clarity in your communication, and that you enjoy providing service and support to applicants throughout the process, are important qualities for the role of case officer.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and you demonstrate good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.

Other Information

In connection with the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
